JAKARTA - The Directorate of Narcotics Crime, Bareskrim Polri, spread its members during the 2024 General Election (Pemilu). Because, it is possible for dealers to take advantage of the five-year democratic party moment.

"This is a calm period, it is considered the police to be all consen. Please the sub-directorates let all members go to the field. My orders are that all members of the opsnal go off to the field," said the Director of Narcotics Crime at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency Brigadier General Mukti Juharsa, quoted on Tuesday, February 13.

It is possible for drug dealers to act during elections because they think the police are careless. Moreover, they are busy with securing democratic parties.

"The most basic thing is the opportunities used by dealers or drug couriers ahead of the election, that's what you need to remember," he said.

"It's not impossible, it's not that it didn't happen, this is when the dealers spread narcotics. It is considered that the police are careless about securing the election," continued Mukti.

In fact, Mukti is targeting all his staff to uncover cases of large drug trafficking this February.

It is known that the Directorate of Narcotics Crime, Bareskrim Polri, had uncovered the case of the Fredy Pratama network, which is one of the largest in Indonesia.

"I ask that in February all sub-directorates can be said big," said Mukti.
