Hadi said H's arrest began with the North Sumatra Regional Police's Narcotics Directorate receiving reports of a man with the initials H riding a motorcycle carrying drugs.

"From the report, personnel moved to the location to pursue the alleged perpetrator," he said.

H's arrest was made on Jalan Medan-Banda Aceh, Besitang District, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra on Sunday (11/2).

During the arrest, evidence was found of 13 plastic packages containing 13 kilograms of methamphetamine and others.

"Perpetrator H admitted that he would deliver evidence of methamphetamine to a person with the initials F (in the investigation) at a gas station in Besitang, Langkat," said Hadi.

Perpetrator H along with 13 packs of evidence containing methamphetamine have been detained at the North Sumatra Police's Narcotics Directorate Headquarters for further investigation.

"This drug trafficking case is still under investigation to pursue other network perpetrators who have not been caught," said Hadi.

The perpetrator was charged with Article 114 Paragraph (2) subsidiary Article 112 Paragraph (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 Year 2009 concerning Narcotics.

The North Sumatra Regional Police and their ranks continue to eradicate drugs, including taking action and carrying out rehabilitation which is one of the priority programs.

"This arrest is a commitment of the North Sumatra Police in eradicating narcotics trafficking in this area," said Hadi.
