Alleged Violation Of The Code Of Ethics In Nagan Raya, Chairman Of The KPU/KIP Pansel Meets Candidates Just To Take Clothes

NAGAN RAYA - The Regional House of Representatives (DPRK) of Nagan Raya Regency, Aceh Province, is investigating alleged violations of the code of ethics of the Selection Committee for KPU/KIP Nagan Raya Commissioner Candidates, with candidates for KPU/KIP members for the period 2024-2029. "The results of our search and interview with the Chairman of the Pansel, so far we have found no allegations of violations," said Chairman of Commission I DPRK Nagan Raya, Aceh Province, Hasan Mashuri to ANTARA in Suka Makmue, Monday, February 12. As is known, the alleged violation was revealed after the Chairman of the KPU/KIP Nagan Raya Regency, Aceh, Arif Budiman, who is currently participating in his candidacy, allegedly met with the Chairman of the KPU/KIP Nagan Raya Pansel for the period 2024-2029 at the KPU/KIP Nagan Raya office, Suka Makmue Office Complex on Friday night last week. Hasan Mashuri explained that the meeting of the Chairperson of the Selection Committee for KPU/KIP Commissioners Nagan Raya with candidates for KPU/KIP members for the 2024-2029 period on Friday, February 9 last week, was located at the KPU/KIP Office of Nagan Raya Regency, Suka Makmue Office Complex was not related to the selection process. The arrival of the Head of the Pansel to the KPU/KIP Nagan Raya Office, was only to pick up a t-shirt for leisurely walking activities organized by the election organizers the next day. There are about 30 ASN or employees at the Nagan Raya Regency Youth and Sports Office who take part in the sports activities. The arrival of the Pansel to the election organizer's office in Nagan Raya, was also on the advice or communication with one of the commissioners of KIP Nagan Raya who was out of town, to ask the head of the Pansel to come directly to the office to pick up the shirt for the activity. Hasan Mashuri said that while at the Nagan Raya KIP Office, the head of the Pansel also did not meet with the Chairman of KIP Nagan Raya, Arif Budiman or other commissioners. "There was no meeting with commissioner KIP Nagan Raya, after taking the shirt from the chairman of the Pansel immediately went home," said Hasan Mashuri. For this reason, he asked all members of the KPU/KIP Pansel Nagan Raya Regency, Aceh, in the future to maintain attitudes and ethics when in public spaces, so as not to cause negative perceptions from the community in carrying out their duties. "We also ask all members of the Pansel to avoid meetings with selection participants, we don't want a negative response from the community," said Hasan Mashuri. His party hopes that the results of the selection of KPU/KIP Nagan Raya commissioners for the 2024-2029 period can be safe, smooth and professional, Hasan Mashuri said. Previously, the Head of KIP Nagan Raya, Arif Budiman, also confirmed that on Friday (9/2) night or evening before the leisurely walk event took place on Saturday (10/2), he had met with the Chairman of the KPU/KIP Nagan Raya Pansel at his office at the Suka Makmue Office Complex. "It's true that there was a meeting, he just took clothes (the participants took a leisurely walk) and then went home," said Arif Budiman.

He admitted that his meeting with the Head of the KIP Nagan Raya Pansel at his office was not related to leisurely walking activities that took place on Saturday morning. When he met with the Chairman of the KPU/KIP Pansel Nagan Raya nor was he alone, the meeting was also witnessed by the Secretary of KIP Nagan Raya.
