JAKARTA - The General Chairperson of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto, spoke about a documentary film entitled Dirty Votes which was broadcast on the YouTube platform.
Airlangga said the film, directed by Dandhy Laksono, was part of a black campaign because it was released during the calm period of the 2024 General Election.
"That's called black movie, black campaign. If that's not necessary, comment," said Airlangga in his statement, Monday, February 12.
"Yes, it means that his name is also black movie (released, red) in the quiet week lately," he continued.
He considers the 2024 General Election to run safely and smoothly so far. He hopes that no party will make the 2024 General Election worse.
"I think the election has been running safely, orderly, and running smoothly. So, there is no need to make it cloudy. We are the largest democracy after the United States and India," he continued.
Airlangga did not comment further when asked whether the film that explained the election fraud interfered with the electability of candidate pair number 2, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka. He only advised the public to vote on February 14.
"The important thing is that on February 14, 2024, the community needs to vote," he concluded.
