Acting Governor Of West Java Guarantees No Intimidation Of Joint Election Patrol

The West Java Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) through the acting (Pj) Governor of West Java Bey Winhi Machmudin, guarantees that there will be no intimidation related to the shift in joint patrols to secure the 2024 General Election.

"Today, the rally shifts from joint patrols, the West Java Police Chief is also present, the Siliwangi Military Commander to ensure the safety of all people who have the right to vote, do not hesitate to exercise their right to vote according to their conscience, and we guarantee that there will be no intimidation," Bey said in an apple in front of the Sate building. In addition, Bey said the West Java Forkopimda strongly opposes fraud in elections, whether it is not criminal, such as Sara's politicization and also the spread of hoax information.

Because, said Bey, from the start emphasized that all civil servants, armed apparatus, to election organizers, must be neutral and ensure that the implementation of elections in West Java will run smoothly, honestly and peacefully and we will achieve it until the vote calculation later.

"Because elections are an important momentum for all of us as citizens to determine the direction and leader of future countries," he said.

In the 2024 election that entered this quiet period, Bey asked all parties not to spread slander, hate speech and spread hoax information or provocation to others.

"As well as not discrediting candidate pairs with one candidate pair, we maintain this quiet period, so that voters can dig up information on their choices, both presidential and vice presidential candidates, as well as legislative candidates, both city/district, provincial, DPR RI, and also DPD members. So that during the election, voters do not have to linger in the voter to make their choice," he said.

Bey asked Bawaslu and the Integrated Law Enforcement Center (Gakumdu) to carry out lebuh supervision in this quiet period, by enforcing the law against fraud that occurs without hesitation.

"We also make sure that there will be no fraud in the implementation of this election for the realization of a safe, honest and fair democratic party," he said.

Bey invites all people of West Java Province to actively participate in maintaining order, security, and sustainability of the 2024 General Election, including overseeing and ensuring that election logistics are properly distributed and according to procedures, to the calculation process by ensuring that the number of votes is in accordance with those who have the right to vote.

"Let's together create a conducive environment for every citizen to channel their voting rights without fear, and intimidation," he said.

In this joint patrol, Bey said that there were around 19,700 joint personnel from the West Java Provincial Government, the police and the TNI to be deployed to the TPS level.

Regarding the potential for disasters during the 2024 General Election, Bey said that his party had reminded all district and city governments to prepare themselves to anticipate it in collaboration with BMKG, BPBD, TNI, and Polri.

"This is to anticipate that on D day things don't happen that we don't anticipate," he said.
