JAKARTA - The Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN) suspects that the documentary Dirty Vote, which was launched on the YouTube platform, aims to reduce the 2024 General Election (Pemilu).
Deputy Chairperson of TKN Prabowo-Gibran Habiburokhman asked the public not to be provoked by the narratives in the film, because he believes most of its contents are limited to assumptions.
"Most of what the film says is something slanderous, a very assumptive, and highly scientific hate narrative." I question the capacity of the characters in the film and I feel like there is a tendency, a desire to degrade this election with a very baseless narration, "” Habiburokhman said while reading TKN's stance on the documentary “ Dirty Vote ” during a press conference in Jakarta, Antara, Sunday, February 11.
The Deputy Chairperson of the TKN is of the opinion that the narratives presented by three constitutional law experts in the documentary film contradict the establishment of the people. The three constitutional law experts who appeared in the documentary are Zainal Arifin Mochtar from Gadjah Mada University, Feri Amsari from Andalas University, and Bivitri Susanti from the Indonesian Law College (STH) Jentera.
"Jadi, tindakan-aksi mereka yang menyampaikan informasi yang sangat tidak adatif, tetapi tendensius untuk menvertik pihak tertentu, berseberangan dengan apa yang menjadi sikap sebagian besar rakyat,” kata dia.
Therefore, Habiburokhman asked the public not to be instigated by the narrative in the documentary.
“ We advise the people not to be instigated, and not to be provoked by the narrative of lies in the film and not to violate the law. We must ensure that the 2024 elections take place peacefully, directly, publicly, freely, honestly, honestly and fairly (the jurdil),” he said.
The documentary film Dirty Vote was directed by Dandhy Dwi Laksono. In his written broadcast, Dandhy conveyed that the film was a form of education for the public, which on February 14, 2024 would exercise their voting rights in the 2024 General Election.
"There is a time when we become supporters of the presidential and vice-presidential candidates, but today I want to invite everyone to watch this film as citizens," said Dandhy.
He explained that the film was worked on in about 2 weeks, which includes the process of research, production, editing, and release. Making it, he added, involved 20 institutions, including the Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI), the Mahardika Nation, the New Indonesia Expedition, Equatorial, the Indonesian People's Faction, the Needdem, Indonesia Corruption Watch, JATAM, Lokataru, LBH Pers, WALHI, the Kurawal Foundation, and YLBHI.
Within approximately 5 hours of broadcasting on YouTube, the film has now been viewed by 355,831 people and liked by 51,294 YouTube users.
