TANGERANG - Mayor of South Tangerang, Benyamin Davnie asked Bawaslu and Satpol PP to first store Campaign Performance Equipment (APK) which has been removed during the calm period of the 2024 election.

The goal is to prevent the re-installation by certain parties.

"Just save it until the end of the voting and counting period. Save it first, don't distribute it, afraid that other parties will take advantage of something," said Benjamin in his statement, Sunday, February 11.

Benjamin also suggested that if the APKs that had been removed were better made the minutes of the event and calculated them. This makes it easier to complete the next stage.

"If necessary, make a report while calculating how many there are. Make the minutes," he said

Furthermore, after the 2024 election was completed, he asked the South Tangerang District Attorney to help destroy the APK-APK. The goal is to fulfill the legal elements in this activity.

"Later on, I will ask for help from the prosecutor to fulfill the legal elements," he said

For information, the General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) together with the South Tangerang Satpol PP carried out control of the APK during the calm period of the 2024 General Election. The activity was carried out since Sunday, February 11 at 00.00 WIB.

The Mayor of South Tangerang, Benyamin Davnie, asked that this control be completed more quickly. He hopes that the APK-APK on the highway will be brought under control first.

"Hopefully everything will be finished. Even if not at least I ask that the side of the road be resolved first. Technically, I ask that it be in Bawaslu, technicality for the cleaning of Satpol PP, but the decision rests with Bawaslu," he concluded.
