RM Cafe Where Bripka CS Drunk Twice Was Fined IDR 5 Million For Violating Health Protocols

JAKARTA - RM Cafe has twice violated the health protocol (prokes) and was determined to operate when the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) in Jakarta were still ongoing in the COVID-19 pandemic situation.

"Actually, we have acted twice. We violated the health protocol, we have been fined IDR 5 million", said the Head of the West Jakarta Civil Service Police Unit, Tamo Sijabat in Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Thursday, February 25.

Tamo said that his party has given sanctions for closing 1x24 hours up to the maximum administrative fine according to the violation.

He explained that there was a tendency for the cafes that operated in the past to change their concept to become a restaurant, as well as the RM Cafe permit.

However, RM Café still stubbornly operates like a nightclub.

"The license for cafe, but when we see it, there is a kind of restaurant like that (nightclub). So, we've done it twice, it's just being stubborn", he said.

The authorities are closely guarding the RM Cafe on Jalan Lingkar Luar Barat Cengkareng, West Jakarta, following a shooting incident at that location that killed three people at 04.30 WIB.

Monitoring Between at the location, in addition to being attached to a police line, investigators from the police and the TNI also visited the scene of the incident (TKP).

Head of Metro Jaya Inspector General Police Fadil Imran said that one of its members, Bripka with the initials CS was named a suspect in the shooting in Cengkareng which killed three people, one of them was a member of the Indonesian Army.

"The suspect has been processed directly. This morning, two pieces of evidence have been found, based on witness testimony and TKP processing. This morning we have also been named a suspect", said Fadil in a press conference at the Jakarta Police Headquarters.

Furthermore, Fadil said that in addition to the finding of three people dead, one other victim was injured and is still undergoing treatment at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital.
