JAKARTA - North Korean leader Kim Jong-un again called South Korea the main enemy of Pyongyang and promised to protect his country through military force rather than negotiated.
Kimitu's statement was broadcast by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) following a recent change in North Korea's regime stance which abandoned its decades-long policy of seeking reunification with South Korea.
In fact, Pyongyang has also modified its commitment to fully occupy South Korea if at one time a war broke out between the two.
"Defining the South Korean doll as the most dangerous enemy and permanent major enemy, and deciding to occupy their territory in the event of a state of emergency as a national policy is a reasonable action for the eternal safety of our country and peace and stability in the future," Kim said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, February 9.
Not only that. During a visit to the Ministry of Defense during the 76th anniversary of the establishment of the North Korean People's Army, as reported by KCNA also called for the readiness of a stronger military force-based full combat.
"Peace is not something that must be applied for or obtained in exchange for negotiations," said Kim.
