Corona Positive Patient Dies

JAKARTA - The government announced that the 25th patient who contracted the corona virus or COVID-19 died on Wednesday, March 11 at 02.00 WIB.

According to the spokesman for the handling of COVID-19, Achmad Yurianto, this patient was in a poor condition when he entered the special isolation room.

"Last night around 02.00 a little past. The patient with the identity number 25 died. This patient is already in the hospital in a serious illness," Yuri told reporters at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 11.

The serious illness in question, said Yuri, was in the form of diabetes, hypertension or high blood pressure, hyperthyroidism and annual obstructive pulmonary disease that had been suffering for a long time.

This patient died at the age of 53. She was a foreign national that Yuri didn't mention from which country.

This patient, continued to be accompanied by her husband during treatment. Currently, the embassy also knows this information. They are also in the process of arranging the bodies to be sent to their home countries.

It is known, the number of people with COVID-19 has continued to increase over the past few days.

Yesterday, Tuesday, March 10, the government announced that there were 8 new cases found in Indonesia. In total, 27 people were infected. Two of them were declared cured.

Some were related to previous cases, but there was one case that was allegedly not related to any cluster of cases in Indonesia.
