JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government canceled the Motor Vehicle Free Day (HBKB) or "Car Free Day" (CFD) on Sunday 11 February in the quiescence period of the 2024 General Election (Pemilu) on 11-13 February 2024. "In conjunction with the determination of the 2024 Election period from 11 to 13 February 2024, the HBKB was abolished," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Service (Dishub) Syafrin Liputo when confirmed, Wednesday, February 6. Syafrin appealed to all people who want to exercise to be able to carry out their activities in sports fields or parks in their respective environments. This policy is also based on the General Election Commission Regulation (PKPU) Number 15 of 2023 concerning General Election Campaigns. Then referring also to DKI Jakarta Governor Regulation (Pergub) Number 12 of 2016 concerning the Implementation of HBKB. Jakarta Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) asked the 2024 Election participants to deploy their respective campaign props themselves (APK) ahead of the quiescent period starting Saturday (10/2). "Yes, there is still an appeal the day before the deployment of the APK was asked to the election participants to deploy themselves," said Head of DKI Jakarta Satpol PP Arifin at DKI City Hall, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (6/2).

Arifin said that together with Bawaslu DKI will participate in controlling the APK which is still installed in every corner of Jakarta if it is still installed in a calm period. "Yes, we will lower it down and clean it up. Because there should be no more APK on calm days," said Arifin.
