Stepping Back, Foreign Minister Retno Calls Jokowi's Cabinet Fine And Solid

JAKARTA - Minister of Foreign Affairs (Menlu) Retno Marsudi reiterated that communication between ministers in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet (KIM) is in good and even solid condition.

This was conveyed by him to dismiss the issue that he would resign from the Joko Widodo government cabinet.

"The cabinet is fine. Solid," answered Retno when asked by the media crew at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Tuesday, February 6.

Retno said that her communication with other ministers was good, even fellow ministers in the cabinet. He admitted that he worked with commitment and intensity.

"Do you believe it? Now I ask you to believe it or not with the intensity I work like this, do you believe it or not? That's why I ask with the intensity of my work like this, commitment to work. Do you think you believe it or not?," he said while asking.

In the midst of the issue of resignation, Foreign Minister Retno is said to be busy with various agendas for activities abroad. At least it was based on the statement of the Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lalu Muhamad Iqbal, last Sunday.

"Foreign Minister Retno remains focused and busy dealing with various interests of Indonesia abroad," said Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson, Lalu Muhamad Iqbal, via text message on Sunday quoted from ANTARA.

Iqbal stated that Foreign Minister Retno was involved in various busy activities because there were many international issues that required serious attention from Indonesia.

"Many issues require serious attention, such as the Palestinian issue. His agenda is indeed very dense," he said.
