Elected As President, Anies Baswedan Promises To Implement Social Assistance Plus

JAKARTA - Presidential candidate number 1 Anies Baswedan will implement Bansos Plus if he is elected president.

"We are compiling social assistance plus. The numbers are increased, those who have not entered are still poor and given training provisions, assistance so that they can slowly be independent and live more prosperously," said Anies in the presidential candidate final debate at JCC, Central Jakarta, Sunday, February 4.

Anies said that so that social assistance would not be misused by the interests of certain parties, both the provider and the recipient of the social assistance, he said he had to adjust the needs of the recipients of the social assistance.

"He was given according to the needs of the recipient. If the recipient needs this month, then he will be given that month. If it takes three more months, yes, three more months. Don't write everything. It will be made according to need," explained Anies.

He also said that in order for social assistance to be right on target, social assistance data collection must be accurate and the mechanism through the bureaucracy.

"So when we arrived at social assistance, this social assistance was in the name of the state, when I served in Jakarta, all the social assistance packages in the box were given the label 'financing the DKI Jakarta Regional Budget' not from the Governor, but from public money through the DKI Jakarta Regional Budget," concluded Anies Baswedan.
