High Rainfall, Hundreds Of Houses In Serang Regency Were Submerged By Floods

This Saturday, February 3, hundreds of houses were flooded in Kosambi Ronyok Village, Anyar District, Serang Regency, Banten. Head of BPBD Serang Regency, Nana Sukmana, in Serang, Banten, Saturday, said the flood was caused by heavy rainfall which resulted in overflowing river water and submerging residential areas. "For now, there are approximately 245 houses that have been flooded in Kosambi Ronyok Village," he said, reported by ANTARA, Saturday, February 3. The joint team has evacuated residents using rubber boats to locations that are safer from flooding.

In addition, his party has also set up an emergency tent as a resting place for residents affected by the flood. "We have set up emergency tents for residents, because currently the water level is about 20-50 cm and the weather at the location is still raining," he said.

"Our members are also still collecting data in the field to find out how many residents were affected by the flood," he concluded.
