Jokowifull Volunteers Regarding Bansos Politization: Lines Of Heartache

JAKARTA - The general chairman of Jokowifull volunteers, Joni Tambunan, has denied the allegations of politicization of social assistance (Bansos) by President Joko Widodo or Jokowi. The issue was said to have been deliberately expressed by the ranks of heartache.

"We deny this accusation and firmly say that this accusation is only an expression of the line of heartache," said Joni in the declaration of Prabowo-Gibran volunteers who remained Optimistic for One Round (PROGRAMING TOP), Thursday, February 1.

In addition, the accusation was baseless because what President Jokowi did was only carrying out his duties as head of state, namely channeling directly and monitoring the distribution of social assistance that was right on target.

"If now it is alleged that Pak Jokowi has used social assistance as his political tool, we state that it is the members of the DPR who have already used social assistance as their respective political tools," he said.

Joni also mentioned the legality of Social Assistance. According to him, the Social Assistance has been mutually agreed upon by the Government and the DPR as assistance distributed to underprivileged communities in various forms of programs such as assistance for the Family Hope Program (PKH), Direct Cash Assistance (BLT), and so on.

"The question is that during this time the social assistance has been used as a political reading tool by the people's representatives in the DPR there, is the head of state not entitled to distribute and monitor the distribution of social assistance sourced from his work program and ratified through the law in the APBN. Is it okay for members of the DPR? The President is not," said Joni.

Meanwhile, the issue of politicization in the distribution of social assistance is widely heard. Because, Jokowi gave it to the community in the midst of the momentum of the 2024 election campaign period.

As is known, since early January 2024 President Jokowi has made a working visit to a number of regions in Indonesia while distributing social assistance to the local community.

The latest is in the form of distributing social assistance in the form of the government's rice reserve food Program (CBP) to the community at the Tingkir Clumpit Football Field, Salatiga City, Central Java Province, Monday (22/1). Jokowi also directly distributed social assistance during his visit to Banten Province, Papua, to East Kalimantan.
