Complaints Of Alleged Corruption In The Selection Of Village Apparatus Delegated To The Kudus Police

Central Java (Central Java) Police have transferred complaints of alleged corruption in the selection of village officials in Kudus Regency to the Kudus Police.

"Our client received a copy letter from the Central Java Police regarding the delegation of the complaint to the Kudus Police," said Elected Village Apparatus Attorney Budi Supriyatno in Kudus, Thursday, February 1, as reported by Antara.

He revealed that his client reported that the case had not been inaugurated by the elected village apparatus in 51 villages. They have not been inaugurated since 2023 until now.

Finally, after various legal remedies were taken, including having an audience with the village head, sub-district head, and the regent, there had also been no results, finally filing a complaint with the Central Java Police and Bareskrim Polri.

The complaint report was submitted on November 24, 2023, then the Central Java Police transferred the handling of the complaint to the Kudus Police as of December 28, 2024.

"The information is that there have been summons to related parties," he said.

He expressed his gratitude to the Kudus Police for immediately following up on the complaint so that there was a solution to the inauguration of the elected village apparatus.

Especially now that it has passed the fiscal year so that when it does not immediately inaugurate it can certainly harm the state and there are allegations of obstructing the inauguration.

"This, of course, can enter the abuse of power," he said.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Elected Perades Coordinator, Intan Permata Dewi, also expressed his gratitude to the Kudus Police for being followed up quickly and the investigation process was already underway.

"We have been patient and followed the legal process that has been going on so far. Our demands only want to be inaugurated after being declared ranked as one in the selection of village officials," he said.

Based on the Decree of the Regent of Kudus Number 141/278/2022, the initial schedule for the inauguration of village officials was selected as a result of the selection no later than March 31, 2023. Then there was a delay from the original schedule in March 2023, then to April 28, 2023.

Meanwhile, the elected village apparatus has also tried to respect the legal process because there is a lawsuit at the Kudus District Court, even though on August 25, 2023 the Kudus District Court decided it did not have the authority to try.

Referring to the Kudus Regent's Decree, elected village officials should be sworn in seven days after the Kudus District Court decision. Some of the village heads did inaugurate, but many have not yet inaugurated.

Deputy Chief of the Kudus Resort Police, Kompol Satya Adi Nugraha, confirmed the transfer letter regarding complaints from elected village officials from the Central Java Police to the Kudus Police.
