Bulungan KPU Holds Voting Simulation

TANJUNG SELOR - General Election Commission (KPU) of Bulungan Regency, North Kalimantan (Kaltara), held a simulation of voting and vote calculations as well as the use of the 2024 General Election SIREKAP application.

This is to find out the voting process to solve problems if it occurs at the polling station (TPS).

The chairman of the Bulungan KPU, Lili Suryani, said that the simulation involved the District Election Committee (PPK) and the Voting Committee (PPS) and the Voting Organizing Group (KPPS).

"This simulation is for socialization by election organizers, how are the technical voting at polling stations that we convey to the public," said Lili Suryani, Wednesday, January 31.

Lili said that the vote in Bulungan Regency on February 14, 2024, was believed to be going well.

"Our KPPS officers are ready, especially since the election logistics are also ready and safe. God willing, we are very ready in the 2024 election," said Lili.

The use of the Election SIREKAP Application, continued lili, will coordinate with Telkom. The reason is, the application uses an internet network that experiences problems at any time.

"Including PLN so that electricity does not go out on February 14 and 15. To anticipate if there is rain during voting, we will wrap the ballot boxes using plastic," he explained.

Lili emphasized that when voting voters are not allowed to carry cellphones and cameras into ballot booths to take pictures so that the principle of confidentiality is maintained.

"Residents are only allowed to take pictures outside the polling station," for voters who forget to bring a C-6 model form or notification letter to keep coming, they choose to vote. The point is to come to the TPS with an electronic ID card and this is mandatory," he concluded.
