Preventing KPPS From Getting Sick And Death, The Council Asks The Bogor City Government To Deploy Healthcare

BOGOR - Chairman of the Bogor City DPRD, Atang Trisnanto asked the Bogor City Government (Pemkot) to prepare mobile health workers (Nakesling) and health posts to monitor 20,391 Voting Organizing Group (KPPS) officers at 2,904 polling stations (TPS).

This request was conveyed by Atang Trisnanto as an anticipatory measure to prevent KPPS officers from getting sick or dying, such as the incident in the 2019 General Election.

Where, there were two KPPS officers in Bogor City who died and eight other officers underwent treatment at a number of hospitals.

Nationally, in the 2019 Election, the number of KPPS officers who died reached 894 people, while 5,175 people were sick.

"Bogor berprekat baik dalam pelayanan kesehatan. Kita ingin kesehatan KPPS Kota Bogor terjaga dengan baik tanpa ada dampak fatal meninggal dunia. Untuk itu Dinkes bisa segera buka posko kesehatan, Nakesling atau pun ambulance mobile tiap-masing TPS," ujar Atang.

Meanwhile, based on the findings of the Ministry of Health and UGM related to the 2019 election, many KPPS officers were sick and died of comorbid factors and cardiovascular disease.

The suggestion of health workers and posts, said Atang, is needed to ensure that KPPS officers get adequate and alert health services, so that the fatal risk of falling ill to death can be minimized and even avoided.

The number of KPPS in the 2019 election in Bogor City reached 22,463 and has now decreased to 20,391, as well as the number of polling stations which now reach 2,904 from the previous 3,209 units.

Even the number has decreased, Atang Trisnanto also asked the Bogor City Government and the Bogor City KPU to prepare a series of health checks from an early age and vitamin supplies for 20,391 KPPS on duty in Bogor City.

According to him, early health checks for KPPS officers are needed to ensure their stamina is good enough until the D day of voting on February 14, 2024.

The routine examination and provision of vitamins in the two weeks leading up to the election can be appealed to at Puskesmas-puskesmas in 68 urban villages in Bogor City.

"Given that the workload is quite heavy, we also encourage the supply of supplements and vitamins for KPPS officers,"

"Including paying attention to food security, to protect the staff of KPPS officers," he concluded.
