Police Arrest Workers In West Banjarmasin Circulating Drugs, 10 Packages Of Methamphetamine Seized

The West Banjarmasin Police arrested a casual daily worker with the initials AB (43) for storing 10 packages of crystal methamphetamine or 48.93 grams. "We managed to reveal this case thanks to information from the community developed by members in the field," said West Banjarmasin Police Chief Kompol Aris Munandar in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Kalsel), Wednesday, January 31, confiscated by Antara. He said suspect AB was a resident of Jalan Bunyiur Dalam, Basirih Village, West Banjarmasin District, Banjarmasin City. Officers arrested AB without a fight while not far from his home on Wednesday, January 24 at around 18.30 WITA. "This AB is based on information that we can suspect is often circulating and transactions of illegal shabu-shabu, so his movements are monitored by members in the field," said Aris. Aris said the disclosure of the case was led by the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the West Banjarmasin Police with 10 packages of methamphetamine ready for distribution along with digital scales.

Currently, the perpetrator and the evidence are brought to the West Banjarmasin Police for further examination and legal proceedings. "For AB, we have raised his status as a suspect and detained him in a police detention cell for examination," he said. The results of the temporary investigation, said Aris, are that the suspect is suspected of possessing, storing, controlling, or providing narcotics class I, not plants as referred to in Article 112 Paragraph (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. "We ask for support from the public to be able to provide information if they know that there is drug trafficking in their area and every information that comes in is immediately followed up," he said.
