JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) admitted that he was surprised when he saw the latest various sciences and technologies taught at the Yogyakarta Nahdlatul Ulama University (UNU).

"Earlier I saw, I was also surprised to see someone learning robotics, turning to the right again learning about Bitcoin," he said while delivering a speech at the inauguration ceremony for the operation of the Yogyakarta UNU integrated campus building which was followed online via TVNU from Jakarta, Wednesday, January 31, which was confiscated by Antara.

When reviewing study spaces at the new campus of UNU Yogyakarta, the President also saw the implementation of mutual fund learning, stocks, investment, and artificial intelligence technology.

The head of state conveyed that learning science and technology at universities should be proud.

"As the locomotive of educational progress, the Yogyakarta UNU should not only be proud of its building. The main thing is that it is proud of its mastery of science and technology, proud of its superior education to produce competitive Nahdliyin intellectuals in the professional world and successfully become entrepreneurs," he said.

At the inauguration of the operation of the Yogyakarta UNU integrated campus building, the President also inaugurated the initial construction of the Mohammed Bin Zayed College of Future Studies in the Yogyakarta UNU environment in Yogyakarta City.

The event began with the signing of a memorandum of understanding of cooperation by Chancellor Mohammed Bin Zayed University for Humanities Khalifa Mubarak Al Dhaheri and Rector of the Yogyakarta UNU Widya Priyahita Pudjibudojo.

After signing the memorandum of understanding, the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the United Arab Emirates Suhail Mohammed Al Mazroei handed over the three-dimensional maket of the Mohammed Bin Zayed College of Future Studies building to the General Chairperson of the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board Yahya Cholil Staquf.
