Accident On Solo-Ngawi Toll Road, Chair Driver Of PCNU Jember Gus Aab Dies

NGAWI - A single accident involving a Toyota Fortuner car with police number P 1672 HO was boarded by the Chair of PCNU Jember, Abdullah Samsul Arifin (48), or Gus Aab, along with two other people.

The accident occurred on the Solo-Ngawi Toll Road kilometer 549-B on Monday, January 29 in the morning.

In an SUV car accident driven by Hisyam Abdullah (19), the son of Gus Aab, one passenger, namely Ahmad Baidowi (30), died at the scene.

The Fortuner overturned in the toll road ditch, with the roof on the left side shaking, allegedly due to hitting roads and toll road barriers.

The victim's colleague, Fahrudin, stated that he did not know exactly the chronology of the accident that happened to his colleague. He was contacted to help the victims who were hospitalized.

According to Fahrudin, the victim who died was the driver who was being replaced by the son of the Chairperson of PCNU Jember.

The accident started when the SUV drove from Ngawi to Solo, and then suddenly the wheel could not be deflected. The car swerved and overturned on the side of the ditch of the Solo-Ngawi toll road.

"The driver felt sleepy, then replaced by Gus Hisyam, the son of Gus Aab," explained Fahrudin.

The two survivors are currently being treated at Widodo Ngawi Hospital in a conscious condition. Abdullah Samsul Arifin suffered a broken bone, while one victim died at Dr Soeroto Ngawi Hospital.

"Alhamdulillah, Gus Aab can still be helped even though there are several broken bones, God willing, he can still be saved even though he is badly," said Fahrudin.

Gus Aab's entourage were supposed to go to the 101st NU Harlah in Yogyakarta. Fortuner, who was involved in the accident, was evacuated and secured at the nearest police post by Jasa Marga officers.
