Police Officer Involved In Drug Dealer Network In Bulukumba, Police: He's A Supplier

BULUKUMBA - Bulukumba Police Narcotics Investigation Unit, South Sulawesi managed to uncover and arrest five drug offenders, who are suspected of being involved in a drug trafficking network.

Surprisingly, one of them was a police officer with the initials SM, who was suspected of supplying the prohibited goods.

The Head of Bulukumba Police, AKBP Andi Erma Suryono, on Monday, January 22, said that the investigation process was still ongoing to complete the examination file (BAP). The four suspects from the civilian circle have been detained in the Bulukumba Police detention room.

The four suspects, namely HS, HL, IK, SY, were arrested at a house in Bontominasa village, Bulukumpa District, Bulukumba Regency while using methamphetamine at a party.

Meanwhile, a police officer with the rank of Aipda with the initials SM was detained in the detention room of the Ujung Bulu Police, serving at the Kajang Police, Bulukumba.

"The four civilians are in accordance with the process and are also detained, as well as our police officers carry out without favoritism or special treatment," explained the Police Chief.

In addition to arresting the perpetrators, the police also confiscated a methamphetamine sachet, a methamphetamine suction device, and a dose measuring device. Currently, the five perpetrators have been detained and are undergoing examination at the Bulukumba Police Narcotics Unit.

"The police officers involved are also being investigated at the Narcotics Unit and the Bulukumba Police Propam," added the Police Chief.
