Prabowo Becomes President, Association Of Activists 98: Indonesia Will Return To The New Order Era

JAKARTA - Coordinator of the 98 Activist Association Fauzan Luthsa said that Indonesia should not have a presidential candidate who has a background for kidnapping activist 98 and the results of ethical violations.

"The condition of democracy has never been as worrying as it is today and this is precisely due to national leaders who prioritize dynastic political practices," he said at a pro-democracy consolidation event with the theme Anything can be different, our enemies remain the same as human rights violators, dynastic politics & Neo New Order at the Grand Sahid Jaya Hotel, Sudirman, Jakarta, Sunday (21/1).

According to him, the president actually legalized all means that damaged the democratic order by allowing dynastic politics, human rights violations and the rise of Neo New Order.

2014 and 2019 we succeeded in thwarting human rights violators from leading this republic. And now it is much more difficult because they have become a complete package, namely the kidnappers of activists, dynastic politics and neo-orba. Students as components that have moral legitimacy, together with us who are the perpetrators of the fall of Suharto's authoritarian regime, must prevent them from returning to prevent them from coming to power.

Fauzan explained that Indonesia's democracy would return to the New Order era if Prabowo Subianto became president.

He also said that President Jokowi had violated MPR Decree No. 11/1998 regarding the Implementation of a State that was Clean and Free of Corruption, Collusion, and Nepotism with the advancement of Gibran Rakabuming Raka to become a vice presidential candidate based on the results of the decision of the Constitutional Court 90/PUU-XXI/2023 where his uncle Anwar Usman decided the case and was dismissed as chairman of the Constitutional Court due to ethical violations.
