Gibran Can Repeat The Voice Of Young Voters From Environmental Issues

JAKARTA The National Coordinator of the Prabowo-Gibran State Management, Muhammad Pradana Indraputra, assessed that the second vice presidential debate was Gibran Rakabuming Raka's opportunity to gain votes from young voters.

The vice presidential debate, which will be held on Sunday, January 21, will carry the theme Sustainable Development, Natural Resources, Environment, Energy, Food, Agrarian, Indigenous Peoples and Villages. Pradana believes that voters from the younger generation who reach 52 percent in the 2024 election, have extraordinary attention to environmental issues and every idea that Gibran wants to convey will always be associated with the younger generation.

According to him, Gibran's commitment and environmental mastery has been seen since the first vice presidential debate, when he explained the downstreaming of natural resources and asked other candidate pairs about the creation of carbon capture storage (CCS) regulations.

Although he is said to have no special preparations ahead of the debate, Pradana ensures that Gibran does not underestimate other candidates. Because, Gibran's main focus is making the debate a platform to socialize the candidate's vision and mission 02.

"We don't see Cak Imin and Prof Mahfud as opponents, but our focus is that the debate must provide an explanation to the public. So that people understand what Prabowo-Gibran really wants to do. We hope that Mas Gibran can convey ideas for a more advanced Indonesia, this message is precisely important," he said.

Reflecting on previous debates, Pradana did not deny that pair number two would be a shoot target' for other candidates. Therefore, Gibran and his team have discussed the dynamics of the debate and what questions the opposing camp has asked about.

"He has prepared the material, whether it is related to the theme or not. We also have no plans to attack from the start of the debate. However, if the debate situation demands clarification or enlightenment to the public, Mas Gibran will be more assertive later," said Pradana.
