Change The Names Of Dozens Of Bus Stops Without Discussion, DKI DPRD Will Call Transjakarta

JAKARTA - Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, regretted the decision of PT Transjakarta to change the names of dozens of Transjakarta bus stops. The reason is, Transjakarta does not involve the DPRD to discuss before changing its name.

"Yes, there is no communication with the DPRD. It should be socialized, chat with the council, the main task is Commission B. Invite to negotiate, later Commission B will report to the chairman of the council to decide whether it is appropriate or not," Prasetyo said in his statement, Friday, January 19.

The chairman of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD assessed that the change in the name of the bus affected the activities of the user community. Given, Transjakarta bus users already know the name of the old bus as a benchmark for getting up and down from the vehicle.

On that basis, Prasetyo said that his party would appoint the ranks of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and PT Transjakarta BUMD to explain the change in the name of the bus stop.

"I'll call for clarification later," said Prasetyo. Previously, PT Transport Jakarta (Transjakarta) made changes to the names of several stops aimed at neutralizing the name.

"So adjusting the name of the bus stop is part of neutralizing the names of TransJakarta bus stops. Previously there was a commercial bus stop name. So now it is neutralized," said Head of the Public Relations Department and CSR TransJakarta Wibowo when contacted.

Bowo hopes that by changing the name of the bus stop to be more neutral, TransJakarta can have a new source of income through the right to name the rights bus stop.

The following is a list of changes to the names of TransJakarta bus stops:
