Promise To Fix BPJS Health, Anies: The Principle Is Equality, Who Costs It Number Two

Presidential candidate number 1, Anies Baswedan, revealed his promise to fix the national health insurance program (JKN) in the Health Social Security Administering Body (BPJS).

According to Anies, the main thing in the implementation of BPJS Kesehatan is health services to the public regardless of class.

"The principle is equality. About who will finance it is number two. However, the service must be equal," said Anies at Anies' Desak event in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Thursday, January 18.

Anies membenarkan bahwa penyelenggaraan BPJS Kesehatan selama ini masih memiliki kekurangan. Selain keluhan dari peserta BPJS, tak serangan fasilitas layanan kesehatan yang juga mengeluhkankan sistem tersebut.bp

"Some take advantage of the system, some are harmed by the system. But we have to correct all of that together," explained Anies.

On the other hand, Anies also highlighted the threat of a deficit in social security funds to BPJS Kesehatan this year. If elected as President in 2024, Anies promised to find a way out of this problem.

"We will involve multistakholders to find a technical solution. However, the principle is that services should not be disrupted, this is the first principle," said Anies.

The solution, Anies will involve various parties, ranging from actors in the health sector, health professional asosiss, and experts.

"Then the fourth is the view of the residents on the need for health insurance, then elements of the government and facilitators. Sitting together is given time to then prepare a roadmap for handling this," he added.
