TNI Member Persecuting Child Pangkalpinang Official At Banyumas Night Club Sentenced To Disciplinary

PURWOKERTO - Commander of the Military Police Detachment (Denpom) IV/1 Purwokerto Lieutenant Colonel Cpm Irianto confirmed that members of the TNI with the initials AP who were involved in the alleged abuse case of a child of a Pangkalpinang vertical agency official, Bangka Belitung Islands, received severe sanctions.

"The progress, I have punished, I tried yesterday, was disciplined, because the instructions were directly from the top leadership. We have given disciplinary punishment, severe punishment," said Lt. Col. Irianto in Purwokerto, Banyumas Regency, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, January 18.

The AP, which at that time had been taken to Pomdam IV/Diponegoro in Semarang, was immediately brought back to Purwokerto on Tuesday (16/1) night to undergo a trial in Purwokerto on Wednesday (17/1).

According to him, the severe sanctions imposed on AP are in the form of not being able to go to school and delaying promotions for three years.

"It's very heavy, sir," he asserted.

Asked about the two women who reported to Denpom IV/1 Purwokerto related to the alleged abuse case by AP, Irianto said it was only a complaint.

"But what's called a complainant, I accept it. We will first study the complaint," said Lt. Col. Irianto.

Two women with the initials MF (18) and BR (23) who were accompanied by the Legal Aid Center of the DPC Peradi Purwokerto complained to Denpom IV/1 Purwokerto on Tuesday (16/1) regarding a case of alleged abuse by AP at a nightclub located in Sokaraja, Banyumas Regency, Saturday (13/1) in the morning.

MF and BR are suspected of being victims of abuse by AP when the two women tried to break up the commotion involving their friend with the initials KE (22) with a woman with the initials AY in the courtyard of a nightclub.

However, when MF, BR, and KE were in the parking lot, they were chased by members of the TNI with the initials AP who immediately committed acts of physical violence in the form of kicks and beatings.

MF was kicked twice by AP on the legs and left jaw were bruised, making it difficult to eat. Meanwhile BR, got a shot in the stomach as well as a punch on the shoulder and back of the neck.

The case of abuse by members of the TNI was revealed after the child of a vertical agency official in Pangkalpinang, Bangka Belitung Islands, reported to the Banyumas City Police (Polresta) on Saturday (13/1) afternoon and Denpom IV/1 Purwokerto on Sunday (14/1) afternoon for being a victim in the incident.

The young man with the initials MA (24) who was completing a lecture at a university in Purwokerto became a victim because he tried to break up the commotion at a nightclub on Saturday (13/1) in the morning involving a man with a number of women he did not know before.

However, the Supreme Court was finally beaten by a man who was later identified as a member of the TNI with the initials AP along with seven civilians who suddenly came to the scene.

As a result of the incident, the Supreme Court suffered injuries to the lower face, temples, and back of the head. Even the wound on the lower part of the face had to be two stitches.
