SOUTH KALIMANTAN - A resident who experienced a recovery period after being treated at the hospital (RS) returned to his home assisted by the evacuation of the TNI-Polri following the flood of breaking the road access in Balangan Regency, South Kalimantan (Kalsel).

"The high rainfall in the last few days has resulted in flooding in the Juai area, even one of the residents who returned from the hospital had to be evacuated to return home," said Danramil 1001-01/Juai Serma Dedy Herwandy in Balangan, South Kalimantan, Tuesday, January 16, which was confiscated by Antara.

The evacuation was carried out by members of Koramil 1001-01/Juai District and Bangkalan Police. They carried the residents to the boat and continued their journey to his residence in Mungkur Uyam Village.

Danramil Dedy appreciated the actions that had been taken by members in the field, especially the Indonesian Army Babinsa after receiving reports from residents that there were patients who needed assistance in the midst of the flood.

Dedy revealed that the connecting road from Sumber Rejeki Village to Mungkur Uyam Village was cut off due to a water level of 50-100 centimeters with a distance of approximately 850 meters which resulted in the ambulance not being able to pass.

"This is the obligation of Babinsa to help residents in the village when flood conditions are still inundating the local area," he said.

Meanwhile, the resident's wife thanked the Indonesian Army Babinsa who had helped her husband.

"Hopefully the presence of the TNI will always be in our village, especially when we residents are in a difficult time like this," said the wife.
