Leaving PDIP, Maruarar Sirait Uploads Photos Of Meeting Jokowi

JAKARTA Politician Maruarar Sirait shared a photo of his meeting with President Joko Widodo on Instagram social media, along with his decision to leave the PDI-P.

In the Instagram account @maruararsirait, it appears in one of the photos showing Maruarar sitting face-to-face with President Joko Widodo.

It is not yet known what the conversation between the two of them was in the meeting, but in another uploaded photo, Maruarar also met with PDI-P politician Utut Adianto.

In the video which was also uploaded simultaneously, Maruarar appears to have handed over the PDI-P membership card to Utut, and conveyed greetings to the Chairperson of the PDI-P Megawati Soekarnoputri and Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto.

In a description of his upload, the son of the late Sabam Sirait expressed his resignation from the PDI-P and thanked him for being given the opportunity to serve and serve in politics with the PDI-P.

"Today, I apologize because I can no longer be in the PDI-P, because I have faith and trust Pak Jokowi like the majority of the Indonesian people who also believe in Pak Jokowi who is fair and can humanize humans and can advance our nation," Maruarar wrote as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, January 15.

Maruarar Sirait decided to leave the PDI-P after decades of being a party cadre bearing the white-nosed bull.

"I thank Mrs. Mega, Mr. Hasto and the party ranks for allowing me to serve through PDIP," said Maruarar after visiting the PDI-P DPP office in Jakarta, Monday, January 15.

He thanked the Chairperson of the PDI-P Megawati Soekarnoputri, Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto and other party elites.
