TKN Calls Jokowi's Impeachment Issue Only Manuver Elite Ganggu Jalan Kemenangan Prabowo

JAKARTA - The Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN) considers it normal to issue the impeachment of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) which was rolled out by a number of figures who are members of the Petition 100 group. TKN realizes that the issue of impeachment is only an elite maneuver to tackle Prabowo-Gibran's victory.

"TKN is not disturbed, our team is not disturbed. We only know that it is a political maneuver at the elite level," said Deputy Chairperson of TKN, Juri Ardiantoro in Kertanegara, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Monday, January 15.

According to the jury, Petition 100 figures understand that the impeachment process against the president is not easy, even almost impossible. However, he said, the issue was still being rolled out with the aim of eroded Prabowo-Gibran's electability.

"Actually, their goal is not about impeachment because they know it will be difficult and impossible. But they really want to separate Mr. Jokowi from Pak Prabowo, to interfere with Pak Prabowo's winning path," said Juri.

Moreover, continued the jury, the survey results show that the high level of public satisfaction with President Jokowi is directly proportional to the electability of the Prabowo-Gibran pair. Even the electability is already in the range of 46 percent, so it only takes about four percent to lock the win in one round.

Therefore, the Jury believes that the impeachment issue is an electoral political movement to disrupt Prabowo-Gibran's winning path. The reason, he said, was the involvement of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD, who is also the vice presidential candidate number 3.

"The meeting (the Petition 100 figure) was facilitated and received by one of our vice presidential candidates even though it was on behalf of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs," said the former Deputy for the Presidential Staff Office (KSP).
