JAKARTA - The Twitter account of the Ministry of Religion @Kemenag_RI no longer displays the ministry's logo on its profile photo and its account is locked. In fact, the account was hacked by irresponsible parties.
Information regarding this hack was conveyed by Acting Head of the Public Relations Bureau of Data and Information of the Ministry of Religion Yayat Supriadi.
"At around 18.30 WIB our social media admin reported a hacking on the Twitter account @Kemenag_RI. Currently the account cannot be opened," Yayat said as quoted from the Ministry of Religion website, Monday, February 22.
Yayat said that his party had tried to restore the account by reporting it to Twitter Indonesia's management. "We've reported it," he said.
"Hopefully this can be followed up soon. Sorry for the inconvenience," he said.
Apart from the Ministry of Religious Affairs Twitter account, other ministry accounts, namely the Ministry of Finance, @KemenkeuRI and the Ministry of Education, @Kemdikbud_RI are also inaccessible or have been hacked.
