Mahfud MD Promises The Salary Program For Ngaji Teachers To Be Implemented As Well As For Other Religions

PASURUAN - Candidate for vice president number 3 Mahfud MD said he and presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo promised the Koran teacher program to apply to all religions.

"We have a program and definitely have money, left to manage, namely giving permanent fees to all Koran teachers, including non-Islamic teachers, religious teachers, given," said Mahfud at Darut Tauhid Canga'an Bangil Islamic Boarding School, Pasuruan Regency, East Java, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, January 13.

Mahfud then confirmed that he would give salaries to Koran teachers, but there are several indicators that will be assessed before the Koran teacher is given a salary by the government.

"But if it's not yet and it's officially an educational institution, Hinduism, Christianity, Buddhism, please submit it. Later we will have the size of the place, how many students, what kind of teacher to teach, how many hours a week we count to pay," he said.

Mahfud ensured that Christian Koran teachers were still given salaries by the government.

"If there are Christian schools like that then no one pays because of volunteerism, we register it even though usually the Christian funds have been arranged, every missionary is already there," said Mahfud.
