Samarinda Police Arrest Dealers Who Hide 6 Packages Of Methamphetamine In Peci

Samarinda City Police Narcotics Investigation Unit (Polresta), East Kalimantan uncovered a narcotics abuse case by arresting a man with the initials S alias I, who kept methamphetamine in his cap.

"We received information from the public that narcotics transactions often occur at these locations," said Head of Drug Investigation Unit of the Samarinda Police, Kompol Bambang Suhandoyo, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, January 12.

After the police conducted an investigation, personnel found the suspect who was riding a green Honda Scoopy motorcycle.

The suspect's arrest took place on Tuesday (9/1) at Jalan Sentosa, Sungai Pinang Dalam Village.

"During the search, the police found evidence in the form of six plastic packs containing 4.74 grams of methamphetamine, which was hidden in a black cap worn by the suspect," he said.

In addition, the police also confiscated a black Android redmi cellphone and a green Honda Scoopy motorcycle belonging to the suspect.

"After we interrogated him, the suspect admitted that the methamphetamine belonged to him and he bought it from someone he didn't know. We are still developing to uncover this narcotics network," said Bambang.

The suspect was charged with Article 114 paragraph (1) subsidiary Article 112 paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, with a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.
