Braaakkk 4 Car Hit By Truck From Behind On The Jakarta-Tangerang Toll Road

TANGERANG - A series of accidents occurred in the Tangerang toll road towards Jakarta KM10/600, between a truck and 4 other cars, Thursday afternoon, January 11.

The Head of Traffic Unit of the Tangerang Metro Police, AKP Badruzzaman, when confirmed, explained that the accident occurred when the volume of vehicles on the Jakarta-Tangerang Toll Road was quite congested and accompanied by rain.

According to reports, 5 cars (including trucks) drove from Tangerang to Jakarta using lane 3. Arriving at the accident point, 4 cars decreased speed. Then a truck with a high enough speed came and hit four cars in front of it.

"The driver's confession (truck) was sleepy and hit the vehicle in front of him. The final position was in lane 3 and lane 4 was facing the east and west," said Badruzzaman when confirmed, Thursday, January 11.

AKP Badruzzaman said that his members were already at the scene to conduct a crime scene inspection. The accident is currently being handled by the Jakarta-Tangerang Toll Road Patrol (PJR).

"Yes, the initial handling of PJR. Members are still at the TKP," he said.

Badruzzaman confirmed that there were no casualties in the incident. However, a number of vehicles were damaged.

"A material accident. There were no casualties," he concluded.
