Brigadier TO Police Who Raped Student In NTB Immediately Undergoes Trial

West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police investigators have completed the case file belonging to Brigadier TO, who is suspected of raping a student with the initials PU (20).

"From the series of investigations we have carried out, the case file for Brigadier TO has now been completed," said Director of General Criminal Investigation of the NTB Police Kombes Syarif Hidayat in Mataram as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, January 11.

With the completion of the Brigadier TO case file, the police are currently coordinating with the prosecutor to examine the completeness of the file.

"If it has been declared complete, of course we will continue to stage two (the transfer of suspects and evidence to the public prosecutor)," he said.

In the completeness of the case file, investigators have pocketed two pieces of evidence that corroborates the allegation that Brigadier TO had raped the victim.

The evidence is in the form of a post-mortem from the hospital and information from fellow victims who have had an argument with Brigadier TO because they have committed indecent acts against the victim.

In addition, investigators have also listened to the legal opinion of academic experts who concluded that Brigadier TO's confession regarding the actions in the victim's boarding house on November 24, 2023, because the reason for liking each other was not true.

Syarif ensured that in handling this case, his party was still detaining Brigadier TO and emphasized that there was no favoritism towards members involved in the crime.

"(Brigadir TO) we are still detained in detention centers," he said.
