ABK Maju Makmur Found Dead In Muara Angke Waters, Jakut

JAKARTA - Samsuri (42) a crew member (ABK) Maju Makmur was found dead due to drowning in the waters of Muara Angke, Penjaringan District, North Jakarta, Wednesday, January 10.

The victim was previously reported missing and drowned after falling while installing a tent on the ship. The victim was also searched by the joint SAR team.

"The victim's body was finally found by the joint SAR team through a dive process at a depth of 4 meters below the surface of the water," said Head of the Jakarta Basarnas as SAR Mission Coordinator (SMC) during the SAR operation, Fazzli when confirmed, Wednesday, January 10.

Then the victim's body was immediately evacuated to the funeral home to be handed over to the family.

Efforts to search for victims, continued Fazzli, were divided into two search teams. The first team conducted a search by using rubber boats up to a radius of 1 KM from the scene.

"The second team carried out a search effort through the dive process up to a radius of 10 meters around the scene," he said.

Meanwhile, joint SAR personnel consist of the Jakarta Basarnas, DKI Jakarta BPBD, Sunda Kelapa Police, Kali Adem Water Police to the Kali Adem Navy Post. Victim Samsuri (42) has been missing since last Tuesday, January 9.
