Gibran Greets Jember Residents While Praying In The Middle Of Rainy Rain

The candidate for vice president number 2 Gibran Rakabuming Raka greeted the residents of Jember Regency, East Java, during the national salawat rally held by Laskar Shalawat Nusantara (LSN) in the midst of heavy rains at Jember Sport Garden Stadium (JSG).

The eldest son of President Joko Widodo entered the Jember Sport Garden Stadium at around 16.00 WIB.

Symbolically, Laskar President Shalawat Nusantara Muhammad Fawait extended his surprise to Gibran as a member of the community's honor.

"I ask Jember residents not to easily believe the fake news that has sprung up on social media. Lately, there have been a lot of hoax news, slander news, don't be influenced, just smile," said Gibran to the congregation of Selawat who was present as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 10.

According to him, differences in democratic parties are common, thus asking the public to stay in harmony and always maintain health.

"Ladies and gentlemen, everyone is healthy. Thank you to the residents of Jember and Laskar Shalawat Nusantara," said the vice presidential candidate number 2 ending his remarks.

Meanwhile, the President of LSN Muhammad Fawait said that the national salawat rally was an internal event for LSN, so that all of them attended were members and not public activities.

"The salawat activity is for prayer together and asking for approval from the Prophet Muhammad SAW so that the 2024 general election (election) runs safely, peacefully, and smoothly.

He said that the LSN conferred members of the honor to Gibran and this was a natural thing, so that his arrival in Jember was to provide support in the national prayer rally activities.

"The number of NGO members is quite a lot and more than 70 thousand people are present at the Jember Sport Garden Stadium, there are even some bus vehicles that cannot enter the location," said the man who is familiarly called Gus Fawait.
