TKN Calls Khofifah's Support A Game Changer Wins Prabowo-Gibran One Round

JAKARTA - The Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa, has finally officially announced his support for the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 2, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

The National Campaign Team (TKN) said Khofifah's support was a 'game changer' who would win Prabowo-Gibran in one round of the presidential election.

"Bu Khofifah is one of the game changers. With her entry, we are increasingly convinced that we can win this election with one round," said Deputy Chairperson of TKN Prabowo-Gibran, Habiburokhman, Wednesday, January 10.

According to the Deputy Head of Gerindra, the joining of Khofifah to TKN can provide electability incentives to Prabowo-Gibran, especially in East Java. Moreover, said Habiburokhman, East Java is one of the areas that is a measuring tool for winning presidential candidates.

"Of course there will be electability incentives, especially in East Java. We know that East Java is one of the provinces with the largest population, which has been one of the measuring tools for winning candidates," he said.

In addition, continued Habiburokman, Khofifah is seen as a female activist who can increase women's support for Prabowo-Gibran.

"The figure of Mrs. Khofifah as a female activist will definitely influence the increase in women's support in our candidate pairs," he said.

It is known, Khofifah announced her political direction in the 2024 presidential election by supporting Prabowo-Gibran. Khofifah also admitted that she was ready to become a national campaigner (jurkamnas) and be included in the structure of the Prabowo-Gibran TKN.

"God willing, I am ready, according to my promise in early January after my Umrah. I conveyed my support position and I support candidate pair 02," said Khofifah at VVIP Juanda Surabaya in Sidoarjo, Wednesday, January 10.

"I am ready to be a national jurkam and ready to enter TKN. What is the regulation, I will follow according to existing regulations, like today Mas Emil accompanied Gibran, he took time off. So I am ready to follow the existing regulations because I still serve as regional head," he said.
