Campaign In Banyuwangi Can't Come Directly, Mahfud MD Congratulates PDIP's 51st Anniversary

JAKARTA - Candidate for vice president (cawapres) number 3 Mahfud MD wishes the 51st Anniversary (HUT) to the PDI-P who sided with the small people and militants in fighting for struggle ideas.

"I, Mahfud MD, wish the PDI-P a happy 51st birthday. It has been 51 years since the PDI-P has served the nation and state, with its pros and minors and militants fighting for their struggle ideas," Mahfud MD said through a short video broadcast, Wednesday, January 10, which was confiscated by Antara.

The Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) also hopes that PDIP will continue to defend and side with the small people, while upholding the truth.

"Continue to be a political party that sided with the little people. Be a political party that sided with the truth. Dare to defend the oppressed, with a militant spirit as has been shown so far," said Mahfud.

He also hopes that PDIP will always be a pioneer party that continues to uphold the Pancasila ideology.

"Hopefully the PDI-P will continue to uphold being a disciplined party in the organization and discipline in the Pancasila ideology. Happy 51st PDI-P anniversary. Satyam Eva Jayate, the truth will definitely win. Independence, independence, independence!" said Mahfud.

Mahfud MD, a vice presidential candidate promoted by PDIP to accompany the presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 presidential election, was unable to directly attend the celebration of the 51st PDI-P Anniversary at the party school in the Lenteng Agung area, South Jakarta, Jakarta, Wednesday, January 10.

Mahfud is scheduled to leave for the campaign to Banyuwangi Regency, East Java, Wednesday, January 10 afternoon, at around 11.15 WIB.

Arriving in Banyuwangi, Mahfud continued his journey to the Darussalam Islamic Boarding School Blokagung to attend an event.

Then, Wednesday afternoon, at 16.30 WIB, Mahfud headed to Surabaya to meet local youths in order to receive input in an event.
