Use E-BLU DG Hubdat To Start Verification Of Transportation Safety

BEKASI - The Directorate General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation (Ditjen Hubdat Kemenhub) handed over the e-Blu Reader to 25 Land Transportation Management Centers (BPTD), the Road Transportation Safety Polytechnic (PKTJ) and the Indonesian Land Transportation Polytechnic (PTDI-STTD).

"This e-BLU Reader is an identification tool for Electronic Test Passed Evidence (BLUe) as a support for the issuance of Electronic Test Passing Evidence (BLUe) services which can help facilitate supervision of the rampant falsification of Proof of Passing Periodic Motor Vehicle Test by irresponsible parties," said the Director General of Land Transportation, Budi Setiyadi, in his statement, Wednesday, February 17.

According to Director General Budi, this is very detrimental to the public and vehicle owners who are not aware of the BLUe forgery and of course have an impact on the occurrence of accidents.

"With the handover of this e-BLU Reader, the Directorate General of Land Transportation will continue to strive to build programs to improve safety and services in the Directorate General of Land Transportation which are faster, more transparent, accountable and integrated," said Director General Budi.

Furthermore, Director General Budi emphasized that as programmed by the Directorate of Road Transportation Facilities, the aim of which is to accelerate the improvement of the competence of Motor Vehicle Testers and efforts to improve road traffic safety in order to support the ODOL (Over Dimension Over Loading) Free Indonesia Program in 2023.

"If you look at current conditions, the number of Accredited Motor Vehicle Periodic Test Units (UPUBKB) is still very limited in several regions in Indonesia. Therefore, I strongly support the program to fulfill the facilities and equipment for periodic testing of motorized vehicles such as mobile test vehicles. periodic test services can still be carried out effectively and efficiently, "said Director General Budi.

Along with the e-BLU Reader tool, the Ministry of Transportation also symbolically handed over the Retro Reflector Meter, Mobile Test Vehicles, and Operational Vehicles for Improving Service Sector Facilities. In addition, a Non-Static Motorized Vehicle Function Proper Inspection Unit is also handed over, known as a Mobile Test Vehicle.

The tools will be distributed to five BPTD units in Region XIII of NTT Province, BPTD Region XIV in West Kalimantan Province, BPTD Region XX in Central Sulawesi Province, BPTD Region XXII North Sulawesi Province, and BPTD Region XXV in Papua Province and West Papua Province.

"Do not forget to also appeal to the Heads of BPTD and their staff to immediately follow up and cooperate with the local Transportation Service to immediately operate such as the Mobile Test Vehicle which is given to improve the performance and safety of Traffic and Road Transportation," he concluded.
