Used Goods On Jalan Tapus Ludes Devoured By Fire, Owner Loss Rp800 Million

JAKARTA - A number of used goods stalls on the side of Jalan Raya Cakung Cilincing KM 1.5, West Cakung Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta, were burned to the ground on Wednesday, January 10, afternoon.

Luckily, there were no casualties or injuries as a result of this fire incident.

"The object caught fire in a used field. The incident began when the owner of the stall was eating at a shop, suddenly saw the fire had grown in his stall," said Head of the East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman, to VOI.

It was later discovered that the used goods stall was known to belong to Nando. As a result of the fire, Nando suffered a loss of Rp800 million.

"The burned area is about 250 meters. The cause is not yet known," he said.

The fire incident occurred at around 09.58 WIB. Then as many as 13 fire engines were deployed to the location of the fire.

"A total of 65 personnel were deployed. The fire was successfully tamed at 10.23 WIB. Currently, the situation is still cooling down at the TKP," he said.
