Serang Police Arrest Gang Of Fire Armed Robbers

SERANG - Serang Police Satreskrim Team arrested four gang of robbers with violence using firearms with the initials AA, WF, AP, and FF.

Serang Police Chief AKBP Wiwin Setiawan, said the perpetrators who were arrested by the Serang Police Resmob Team were old players who were very disturbing to the public.

Wiwin explained that while carrying out the action of robbers in the Ciruas District area, one of the six perpetrators had repeatedly shot residents who tried to thwart the perpetrators' intentions because they were caught stalking a car in the area.

"There were residents who were victims of the shooting in the robbery they carried out," said the Serang Police Chief as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 9.

The perpetrators have committed crimes for one year and carried out in various other locations, such as in Jakarta and Balaraja.

"Sudah melakukan tindak kejahatan di berbagai tempat," ujarnya.

From the results of his crime, said Wiwin, there were several pieces of evidence that were successfully secured, such as stolen motorized vehicles, one helmet, the perpetrator's pants, one FN type firearm, one assembled firearm.

"Of the four perpetrators who were arrested, one perpetrator with the initials AA, we gave measured decisive action because he fought back when he was about to be arrested in the Mauk area, Tangerang Regency," he said.

Meanwhile, Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Serang Police, AKP Andi Kurniady ES, said the Resmob Team arrested the perpetrators from various places, on November 10, 2023, arrested one of the perpetrators in the Kibin area.

Then on November 14, 2023 in Cikande and finally on January 2, 2024 in the Tangerang Regency area.

"Of the four perpetrators that we have secured, they are residents of South Sumatra and Lampung, FF, WP, AP, AA and four others are still being searched for," he asserted.

The four perpetrators were snared under Article 1 Paragraph 1 of 1951 of an emergency law with a penalty of 9 years, then Article 365 of the Criminal Code concerning theft with 9 years of violence and Article 480 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of 4 years.
