Husband's Case Of Killing Wife In Magelang, The Motive Is Heartache Compared To The Victim's Ex-husband

Magelang City Police, Magelang City Police, Central Java, revealed the motive for the murder of a husband by his wife in Karanganyar Hamlet, Krasak Village, Salaman District, Magelang Regency, because he felt hurt.

Magelang Police Chief Kombes Mustofa said the suspect with the initials SR (44) was hurt by the victim who was also his wife Andriyani (50) regarding his earbrows.

In addition, the suspect was hurt because he was often compared to the victim's ex-husband.

The murder case occurred on December 15, 2023 at around 22.00 WIB. At that time, the victim Andriyani, a resident of Kwaderan Village, Kajoran District, arrived at the house of suspect SR in Krasak Village, Salaman District, Magelang Regency.

The victim was angry because her husband's cell phone could not be contacted since sunset. The victim actually wanted to ask for help to be taken to the massage place, but on the way to the massage place, the suspect SR was ridiculed by his wife.

Not long after, the suspect stopped his motorbike. "The suspect got off, then strangled the victim's neck. The victim had said an apology," said the Police Chief as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 9.

The victim was strangled and fell on a concrete road. "The suspect then hit the victim's back in the head on the cor road three times until he was unconscious," he added.

The suspect SR had carried the victim's body, then dragged the victim by holding a headscarf to the ditch and hoarding it with the ground.

The next day, Saturday (12/16/2023), the suspect returned to the same location to hoard the victim's body with soil so that a foul smell would not appear. Until finally the police found the victim's body on Friday, January 5, 2024.

"The key to the disclosure of this case stems from the bracelet and the victim's bag which was buried in front of the perpetrator's house. Meanwhile, the victim's cell phone was dumped in the Sriwedari Village area and not found," said the Police Chief.

The autopsy showed that the victim died from violence with blunt objects which resulted in a broken back of the head.

Suspect SR was charged with Article 338 of the Criminal Code regarding the murder in conjunction with Article 44 paragraph 3 of Law Number 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence with a penalty of 15 years in prison.
