Chronology Of Disclosure Of Mutilation Cases By Teakers Of Therapy In Malang City

The Malang City Police Criminal Investigation Unit on Thursday last week succeeded in uncovering a murder and mutilation case with the victim of a cafe entrepreneur named Adrian Prawono (35).

The murder was carried out on October 15, 2024. After three months of investigation, the police finally managed to arrest Abdulrahman alias AR (50) from Probolinggo, a therapist who opened a practice at his rented house on Jalan Sawodjajar, Kedungkandang District, Malang City, East Java.

Based on the information gathered in the case, it started with a report of the loss by Rudijanto Sugie Prawono (76), a resident of Jalan Prapen Indah, Panjang Jiwo Village, Tenggilis Mejoyo District, Surabaya City, to the police.

Rudijanto reported the loss of his son named Adrian Prawono on Saturday, October 14, 2023. Previously, Adrian said goodbye to his family about to go to Pandaan Pasuruan, then to his cafe in Batu City. While leaving, Adrian was driving a black Toyota Rush with police number L 1465 JK.

On Sunday, October 15, 2023 at around 18.00 WIB, Adrian reported to his parents that he would return to Surabaya, but first stop by Malang because there was a need. Since then, Adrian could no longer be contacted.

On October 15, 2023, the police received reports of the discovery of a human body cut off by the head, hands and feet in the Sawojajar river, Kedungkandang District, Malang City, East Java.

The police immediately conducted an investigation by looking for the victim's cell phone. After being found, it was discovered that the last person to communicate with the victim was AR.

The police also immediately examined AR, but at that time there was no strong evidence so AR was allowed to return to his rented house. At the house, AR lives with his wife.

The owner of the rented house named Muhammad Irianto (61) revealed that AR had lived in his rented house for five years since March 15, 2019. The perpetrator and his wife rented two rooms, one to provide therapy and the second to live with their wives.

From the results of the investigation, the presence of the victim was last detected at AR's house. Residents also found a black Toyota Rush parked for several days in front of a resident's shop.

The police continued to examine witnesses for three months, until AR was finally arrested by the police on Thursday, January 4 afternoon. On the night of the arrest, the perpetrator was taken by officers to an empty land on the banks of the Kalianyar River and Bangau River in the local area. AR was asked to show the location of the victim's body that was buried. The distance is about 500 meters from the perpetrator's rented house.

After being excavated, officers found the victim's head which had become a skull and wrists and feet.

Deputy Chief of Criminal Investigation Unit of Malang City Police, AKP Nur Wasis, said AR had admitted his actions of killing and mutilating the victim. Regarding the motive, it is still being investigated.

"We still need to deepen the relationship between the victim and the suspect. We also match the victim's family in Surabaya, whether the head that is currently found is identical to the one we found on October 15, 2023. Later the doctor will be able to determine to see it," he explained.
