Foreign Minister Retno Guarantees The Neutrality Of The Ministry Of Foreign Affairs During The 2024 General Election

BANDUNG - Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi ensured that the ministry of her leadership would maintain neutrality and be ready to contribute to the success of honest and fair elections.

"I am sure that all Indonesian diplomats always uphold integrity and professionalism in carrying out their duties," said Retno when delivering the 2024 Minister of Foreign Affairs' Annual Press Statement (PPTM) at the Merdeka building, Bandung, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, January 8.

Retno thanked all diplomats and foreign ministry teams who have helped navigate Indonesia's diplomacy during the last nine years of President Joko Widodo's administration.

"Whoever will lead Indonesia later, I hope my friends will continue to work wholeheartedly, serve, always be dignified diplomats, carry out high professionalism and continue to spread positive energy and virtues," he said.

The Foreign Minister hopes that diplomats will continue to fight for national interests and continue Indonesia's contribution to the world.

"Spirit Bandung will continue to provide spirit to Indonesian foreign politics. Active free foreign politics is our breath and pole. Whoever will lead Indonesia later, I'm sure I won't leave it," said Retno.
