Andi Widjajanto Reveals TPN Holds Meeting After Prabowo 3 Times Agrees With Ganjar: What's Going On?

JAKARTA - Deputy for Politics 5.0 of the Ganjar-Mahfud MD National Winning Team (TPN), Andi Widjajanto said Prabowo Subianto's attitude as the number two presidential candidate who approved Ganjar's statement had asked questions. Even the team who were there had held a meeting to discuss the moment.

This was conveyed by Andi when asked about the three-finger gesture or three-fingers which were often ignored by Ganjar-Mahfud supporters, especially during the debate held by the General Election Commission (KPU) on Sunday night, January 7.

The gesture was criticized by the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka National Campaign Team (TKN) because it was considered disturbing. Andi said that Ganjar-Mahfud supporters did raise their hands because Prabowo's attitude agreed that the statement from the former Governor of Central Java was in the debate.

"One (time, red) we disturb," Andi told reporters at the Media Center TPN Ganjar-Mahfud, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday, January 8.

However, the supporters asked after Prabowo twice agreed with Ganjar. "As soon as they agreed three, our meeting, why did this agree three times, our meeting immediately, what is this? Why agree three times in one debate," said the former governor of the National Resilience Institute (Lemhanas).

Andi felt that the three-finger gesture conveyed by Ganjar-Mahfud supporters should not interfere. Because the hand they lifted was invisible from the stage because it was dark.

"Because I'm happy Pak Prabowo agrees with Pak Ganjar to raise three fingers. So it doesn't interfere, it doesn't disturb Pak Prabowo and it's far and dark," said Andi.

As previously reported, the supporters of Ganjar-Mahfud raised three fingers when the presidential candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto responded to Ganjar's question. The Minister of Defense three times agreed with his rivals.

Related to this, the KPU as the organizer of the debate will conduct an evaluation. Hasyim said the action of supporting candidate pair number 3 would be discussed with other teams.

"Yes, we will discuss it with the candidate pair team during the evaluation of several things that happened earlier, what happened in the debate situation. Is it in the debate situation or the situation of the supporters," said KPU chairman Hasyim Asy'ari after the third debate of the 2024 presidential election at Istora Senayan, Sunday, January 7 evening, which was confiscated by Antara.
