Floods that occurred due to continuous rain on Friday, February 19 to Saturday, February 20 made 1,722 residents of East Jakarta evacuate. The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) has also prepared 10 refugee camps.

"The public is advised to remain cautious. In case of an emergency, they can contact Call Center 112. As well as report if they find inundation/flooding through the JAKI application and disaster maps, and the community is encouraged to continue implementing the 3M health protocol," said Sabdo.

DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan claimed that he and his government officials had been alert and prepared since last year to anticipate potential extreme weather such as heavy rain.
