JAKARTA - Pro-Jokowi Volunteers (Projo) denied the issue of a directive from President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) regarding the narrative of the 2024 presidential election (pilpres) being held one round.

The chairman of the DPP Projo Bappilpres, Panel Barus, emphasized that Jokowi did not instruct to echo the Prabowo-Gibran narrative of winning one round. As campaigned by the National Campaign Team (TKN) or other volunteer networks.

"It has nothing to do with that," said the panel during a press conference at the Projo DPP office, Pancoran, South Jakarta, Friday, November 5.

The panel explained that the reason Projo targeted Prabowo-Gibran to win one round was because the candidate pair number 2 was considered to be able to continue the programs that had been carried out by the Jokowi Government.

"The belief, Prabowo-Gibran is a couple who is able to bring progress to the Indonesian nation," he explained.

One round of narrative, continued the panel, will be maximized by Projo for the candidate pair victory in 2024. Moreover, he said, Projo did not have a burden on the legislative elections so he could focus on winning Prabowo-Gibran.

"Projos have no burden in the fight for legislative seats, so we can focus on relying on those posts to focus on fighting for Prabowo Gibran," said Panel.

Panel menyebutkan, Projo telah membentuk 50.000 posko yang tersebar di seluruh Indonesia untuk memenangkan Prabowo-Gibran dalam satu lapisan pada 14 Februari mendatang.

"We will be ready with all scenarios but we are again focused on the scenario of completing the elections on February 14, 2024, ensuring the people's victory," he concluded.
