Basarnas Bali evacuated the bodies of foreign tourists from Uzbekistan who were swept away during their activities at Kuta Beach, Badung Regency.

Head of the Bali Basarnas Operations and Alert Section I Wayan Suwena said the male guesthouse with the initials B (14 years old) was found at 17.10 WITA and immediately evacuated to Prof. Ngoerah Hospital.

"At 17.10 WITA we found the victim dead in the south from the scene," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, January 4.

Suwena explained that initially Basarnas Bali received information that foreign tourists were dragged by the current from a witness named Candra Tambunan at 14:35 WITA.

The team immediately dispatched 13 personnel to Kuta Beach, where at that time one victim was rescued but B is still being searched.

Basarnas Bali formed two teams, namely the first team for sea search by moving from Kelan Beach using 2 jet ski units and 1 units of rubber boat assisted by sea equipment and thermal drones to detect from below the water level, while the second team on land coordinated with related agencies.

As of late afternoon, the joint SAR team had not found any signs of the Uzbekistann citizen, but soon the victim's body surfaced.

When found, the victim was floating and was dead around the location where he was swept away by the current. The team that used a rubber boat immediately evacuated the victim," said Suwena.
