Dozens of trees fell due to strong winds and rain in the city of Solo, Central Java, Wednesday, January 3 afternoon.

Deputy Mayor of Surakarta, Teguh Prakosa, said that there were no casualties but several cars were hit by fallen trees.

"It's all old trees. I think it's more of a treatment, minus the burden. 3-4 months has gone back to nimbun again," he said.

Meanwhile, Public Relations Manager of Daop 6 Yogyakarta Krisbiyantoro said that the Bhatara Kresna Train on the Solo-Wonogiri route was hampered by a fallen tree.

"KA Bhatara Kresna was blocked by a fallen tree in Purwosari-Solokota KM 1 + 6 / 7 or in the Juang Building area," he said.
